Volleyball Goes 2-2 With Saturday Split

FINDLAY, Ohio -- Catawba posted another split in a pair of volleyball matches to close out the weekend at the Croy Physical Education Center on the campus of Findlay University. As on Friday, the Catawba Indians downed Seton Hill before falling to Northwood. Catawba is now 2-2 on the year, while Seton Hill fell to 0-3 and Northwood improved to 3-0.

Catawba came back after dropping the first set to Seton Hill to grab a 19-25, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-20 win. A balanced attack led Catawba as Allison Bryant, Ashley Johnson, Raytchelle Miranda and Arianna Colon each collected 10 kills.

Setter Dara Kane handed out 35 assists with Gabrielle Kuzma serving three aces. Johnson totaled three blocks and Miranda 11 digs.

The Lady Indians fell to Northwood 18-25, 19-25 and 15-25. Johnson and Colon led Catawba with five kills.

Kylie Morgan posted a pair of blocks and Colon served two aces. Morgan Childress led the ladies with seven digs. Kane and Payton Medich each had nine assists.

Catawba is at home on Wednesday, hosting Mount Olive at 6 p.m.
