Northwood University
Founded in 1959, Northwood has maintained its approach of incorporating the teachings of the American free enterprise system into the college classroom.
Northwood translates its philosophy into practical, useful curriculums that are designed to prepare students for the realities of the working world. Northwood’s DeVos MBA program adds to a series of bachelor’s degree programs that offer the widest array of free market-based degrees in management and entrepreneurship available.
Graduates of Northwood are equipped with a basic knowledge of business and productive management skills. They are capable of contributing to their assigned responsibility immediately, having been prepared through a placement service that begins to work for the students at freshman orientation and continues throughout their lives.
Four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degrees can be earned with majors in Accounting, Automotive Aftermarket Management, Automotive Marketing/Management, Finance, Management Information Systems, Economics, Fashion Marketing/Management, Health Care Management, Hospitality Management, International Business, Marketing, Management, Sports and Entertainment Management and new this year – Operations & Supply Chain Management.
Northwood is a private, accredited, co-educational, independent, not-for-profit college. It has been supplemented and reinforced by continuing education programs throughout this country and Canada, by Adult Degree Program Centers and study abroad semesters and classes in Europe and Asia.
The Hach Student Life Center on the campus of Northwood University has been at Northwood since 2002. The single-story 53,000-square-foot foot intramural recreational building incorporates new student recreation and health facilities. It has a common main entrance to the existing E.W. Bennett Sports Center and the Hach Student Life Center. The Hach Center features a 30,000-square-foot gymnasium with a 1/8 mile four-lane running track enclosing three basketball courts. In addition, the Hach Center features a fitness club containing a fitness/weight area, multipurpose/aerobics area and locker room facilities. Students can enjoy the use of a student lounge as well as a snack bar for a various array of refreshments. There are two academic classrooms and also an administrative/office area.
