Baseball Loses At Florida Tech 7-4

RECAP: Northwood baseball lost at Florida Tech 7-4 Monday afternoon (March 7).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)
- Northwood got off to a good start in the game, plating a pair of runs in the top of the first inning on a Rhett Evans two-run double.
- The score remained 2-0 until the fifth inning, when the Panthers scored three runs to go up 3-2.
- NU nearly went back on top in the top of the sixth, but Evans' fly ball that looked be a two-run homer was brought back by Florida Tech left fielder Jakob Newton, keeping the score 3-2.
- Florida Tech then hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to get their lead to 6-2.
- The Timberwolves had chances for big innings in both the seventh and the eighth, getting multiple runners in to scoring position in both innings.
- NU did get one run in each inning, starting with an RBI groundout from Myles Beale that made the score 6-3 in the seventh.
- Khale Showers cut the lead to 6-4 in the eighth with an RBI single.
- Florida Tech put together a two-out rally to get a run in the bottom of the eighth to send the game to the final inning with the score 7-4, which proved to be the final.
