INSIDE THE GAME

  • The Warriors wasted no time in their attack. After Parker Blust's punt put the Warriors at their own six-yard line with 11:53 remaining, the Warriors connected on a 94-yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead.
  • Wayne State extended their lead with 2:54 remaining in the first quarter. The Warriors capped an 86-yard, 12-play with another passing touchdown to make it 14-0.
  • WSU made it 21-0 with 7:32 left in the second quarter before Northwood got on the board. Blust's successful 46-yard field goal attempt cut the Warrior lead to 14-3 with 3:37 remaining in the first half.
  • Coming out of the break, Wayne State built on their lead with a successful 28-yard field goal attempt to take a 24-3 lead with 9:27 remaining in the third quarter.
  • The Warriors found the back of the endzone once again with 13:35 remaining in the contest to extend their lead to 31-3.
  • Noah Brown intercepted the Wayne State pass with a little over a minute remaining in the contest to give Northwood the possession back. With just 0:48 on the clock, Markus Sanders caught the 23-yard touchdown pass from Nate Gomez to cut the Warrior lead to 31-10.
  • The Warriors ran out the clock after receiving the kickoff to end the game and earn the 31-10 win.
