• The game was tied 9-9 at the 12:44 mark of the opening half when the Cardinals made a run. SVSU scored nine straight points to take an 18-9 lead.
• Northwood got back within nine twice before halftime, but it was the Cardinals who maintained the advantage the rest of the half.
