Men's Golf Ties For 12th At The Music City Regional
OVERVIEW – MUSIC CITY REGIONAL
LOCATION: Old Hickory, Tenn.
COURSE: Hermitage Golf Course – (Par 72, 6,790 yards)
RECAP: After a strong start, the Northwood University men's golf team tied for 12th place overall at the Music City Regional Monday-Tuesday (April 3-4).
INSIDE THE EVENT
- Northwood shot an opening round of 291, which placed them in a tie for fourth overall. The Timberwolves were four shots behind first and one shot out of second place.
- But NU fell back in round two, carding a 302 to fall back to 12th place.
- The final results were tight – Northwood finished four shots behind seventh-place McKendree at 589.
- Grand Valley State was the overall winner at 571, followed by Indianapolis (574) and Tiffin at 578.
- A total of 24 teams took part in the event.
TOP NU PERFORMERS
- Matt Garland: 67-77=144 (E), Tied for sixth
- Kory Roberts: 68-81=149 (+3), Tied for 47th.
- Cameron Lippoldt: 77-75=152 (+8), Tied for 71st
- A total of 120 players competed in the event.
UP NEXT
- Northwood will compete in the fourth Midwest Regional Tournament April 9-10.
