RECAP: The Northwood men's soccer team was back in Midland Saturday as they took on Malone at Dean Field. The Timberwolves shutout the Pioneers 3-0 to add three conference points to Northwood in the standings.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The match was chippy to begin as teams combined for 14 fouls in the first 23 minutes of play.
- Moving to the 32', Northwood's Amedeo Crovasce took a cross from Oliver Jarvis 15 yards out from the left post. He then threaded the needle to score past a diving Malone goalkeeper just inside the lower left post.
- The Timberwolves added another via Alex Davenport's first career goal in the 50' to extend the NU's lead. Seamus Quinn would be credited with the assist.
- Northwood's offense continued to try and add to the lead, a free kick from just past midfield in the 67' did just that. Luke Kalavitz's 35-yard kick into the box gave Adrian Lekocaj time to put the Timberwolves up 3-0.
- Northwood held on to complete the shutout of the Pioneers over the final 23 minutes.
