Men's Tennis Loses To Ferris State 5-2 In GLIAC Tournament Semifinals

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match to Ferris State in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Semifinals Saturday (April 30).

The event is being held the Greater Midland Tennis Center.

Ferris State, the No. 1 seed in the event, is now 20-4 overall. Northwood, the No. 5 seed in the event, falls to 10-9.

Northwood got off to a good start in the match, going 2-1 in doubles to take the lead. The Timberwolves earned an 8-6 win at the No. 3 slot before posting a 9-8 victory at the No. 1 match.

The Bulldogs were the better team in singles, winning four straight-set matches in singles to advance to the finals.

Northwood will now face Wayne State in the third-place match at 8:30 a.m.
