Men's Tennis Falls 5-1 To Wayne State In GLIAC Tournament Third Place Match

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team dropped a 5-1 contest versus Wayne State in the third place match at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament.

The event was held at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.

Northwood is now 10-10 overall on the season. Wayne State is 14-12 overall.

The Warriors picked up victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots in doubles to earn a 2-1 lead heading into singles. Northwood's duo of Sebastian Eguez and Austin Woody earned a victory at the No. 1 position for the Timberwolves.

WSU played well in singles to earn the victory. The Warriors picked up straight-set wins at the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 positions to close out the match.
