Cross Country Teams Compete at GLIAC Championships

OVERVIEW – GLIAC Championships       

EVENT: GLIAC Cross Country Championships      

LOCATION: Big Rapids, Michigan

RECAP: The Northwood University cross country teams competed at the GLIAC Championships on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

INSIDE THE MEET

• The men's cross country team placed 13th overall with 350 points. Grand Valley State was the overall winner with 28 points, followed by Saginaw Valley State with 77.
• NU was led by Senior Will Moench who finished 56^th overall with a time of 27:06.3
• Tyler Jensen ran a 27:17.5 to place 63^rd overall.
• A total of 117 participants competed in the men's race
• The women's cross country team placed 14^th overall with 422 points. Grand Valley State was the overall winner with 35 points, followed by Northern Michigan with 69.
• Northwood was led by Jennifer McKenna for the third straight meet. She ran a 24:07 to place 49th overall.
• Jacqueline Reneaud placed 107^th overall with a time of 27:12.5.
• A total of 123 athletes took part in the women's race.
