GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Timberwolves got their first run of the day in the top of the second. After Sydni Pauley flared a single to left, Jennifer Wontorcik lined a double down the left field line to make it 1-0.
  • Grand Valley State responded to their first deficit of the day right away, scoring two in the bottom of the second inning to go up 2-1.
  • The Lakers had the bases loaded with one out in the fifth, but Ewing was able to hold GVSU to one run to make the score 3-1.
  • GVSU broke the game open in the sixth with four runs, three of which came on a two-out, bases-clearing triple.
  • The Timberwolves cut into the lead in the seventh Riley Ostapowicz found a gap in right-center field to score Gietl with two outs to make it 7-2, but that is as close as Northwood would get.
