RECAP: The Timberwolves continued to ride their wave of momentum this afternoon (March 11) as they took two games against the Walsh Cavaliers (3-1) and St. Michael's College Purple Knights (7-0).
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS – Walsh
- Walsh scored early via two errors to go out in front 1-0.
- Their lead wouldn't last long as four of the first five Timberwolves reach base safely. The long hit came from Emily Mankel. Mankel hit a 2 RBI single through the left side to put Northwood up 2-1.
- Mankel is 7-13 (.538 AVG), 2 HR, 7 RBI, 3 R, and 13 TB over her last four games. Her two hits put her in a tie with Ginna Fantin (16) for most hits this season.
- Today, Shayna Frank was on her game again, tossing her third complete game allowing zero earned runs in her last three games. Frank currently holds a .38 ERA this season over her 57.2 IP.
