Women's Golf Places Seventh At NCAA Super Regional

SPRINGFIELD, ILL. – The Northwood University women's golf team wrapped up their 2015-16 season by tying for seventh place at the NCAA Super Regional Monday-Wednesday (May 2-4).

The three-day, 54-hole event was held at the Panther Creek Country Club. The course played as a 6,217 yard, par 72.

Northwood shot team scores of 333-321-319 to finish at 973 overall. Their final-round score of 319 allowed Northwood to move up from ninth to seventh on the final day. Indianapolis was the overall winner at 895, followed by Grand Valley State (912) and Findlay (921). A total of 12 teams took part in the event.

Leading the way for the Timberwolves was junior Kasey Harter (Millport, N.Y./Gannon), who tied for 23rd overall at 237 (80-83-74). Her final-round 74 was her best at Northwood and tied for the lowest round for any NU player this season. Danielle Little (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview) shot 240 (84-78-78) to tie for 27th. A total of 66 players took part in the event.
