Women's Golf Uses Strong Final Day To Place Second At The Battle In Belmont
OVERVIEW – BATTLE IN BELMONT
LOCATION: Blythefield Country Club – Belmont, Mich. (Par 72 – 5879 yards)
RECAP: Northwood used a strong final round to place second at the Battle in Belmont Monday-Tuesday (October 16-17).
INSIDE THE EVENT
- Northwood shot matching team scores of 323 and 316 to finish at 639 overall.
- Wayne State was the overall winner at 634 (311-323).
- The Timberwolves stood in fourth place after day one, but their final-round 316 was five shots better than any other team in the event.
- Lake Superior State placed third overall (315-326=641), followed by Tiffin in fourth (321-324=645).
- A total of eight teams took part in the event.

- Ali Martus: 79-80=159 – tied for seventh overall
- Kasey Harter: 82-78=160 – tied for ninth
- Monica Gabriele: 81-80=161 – tied for 11th overall
- A total of 49 players competed in the tournament
