Grand Valley opened the scoring early in the contest with a goal at the 7:13 mark to take a 1-0 lead.
The Lakers were able to add to their first half lead moments later with a goal in the 18^th minute making it 2-0.
The Timberwolves continued to battle throughout the course of the first half as neither team was able to score for the remainder of the period resulting in a 2-0 lead for the Lakers at the break.
2 quick goals by the Lakers early in the second half, roughly a minute apart in the 54^th and 55^th minute made it a 4-0 contest in favor of GVSU.
The Timberwolves struggled to generate an offensive attack in the second half and Grand Valley netted two more goals down the stretch to gain the 6-0 victory.
