INSIDE THE GAME

  • After just missing the far post in the 16th minute, Ashton Brooks made good on her next chance in the 33rd minute. On a corner kick from the right side by Kassidy Embrey, Brooks was able to time her leap in the box and redirect the strike with a header to make it 1-0 in favor of Northwood.
  • Outshot 17-5 after having the game's first three shots, the Timberwolves needed goaltender Kylie Steingreaber to come up clutch multiple times. Out of all of her saves, her stop in the 58th minute may have been the biggest. On a pass across the box from right to left, the freshman was able to drop to the grass to make the save with her body to preserve the lead and eventually the victory.
