Women's Tennis Falls At Indianapolis 6-3

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The Northwood University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match at Indianapolis Friday afternoon (April 1).

Northwood falls to 17-3 with the loss. Indianapolis improves to 6-5 with the victory.

The Greyhounds took two of the first three matches in the day in doubles. Northwood's victory came at the No. 2 match thanks to the team of Alisa Reshetnikova and Maria Avksenenko.

Indianapolis was the better team in singles, taking straight-set wins at the top-four positions. Northwood picked up wins at the No. 5 (Tetyana Pavych) and the No. 6 (Avksenenko) slot.

Northwood has now completed their regular season. The Timberwolves will next play in the NCAA Tournament, which will begin May 7.
