Volleyball Sweeps Wisconsin-Parkside 3-0 - NU Finishes Crossover 3-0

RECAP: Northwood sweeps Wisconsin-Parkside to finish off a 3-0 weekend at the Midwest Region Crossover Saturday afternoon (October 15).

INSIDE THE MATCH

• Wisconsin-Parkside got off to a fast start in the opening set, earning seven of the first 10 points of the match. But the Timberwolves came back strong, scoring 10 of the next 13 points to lead 13-10.  Northwood eventually led 22-16, only to see UWP fight back to tie the score at 23. NU eventually had three match points denied, while the Rangers had a pair. The Timberwolves finally won the set at 31-29 to take the early lead.
• The second set was also tight – neither team led by more than three points. Both teams had sets points but it was Northwood who scored the final two points to win 28-26 to earn a 2-0 lead.
• UWP held a 12-9 lead in the third set when the Timberwolves went on a run. Northwood earned seven of the next eight points to go up 16-13. The Rangers cut the lead back down to one at 17-16 when Northwood took control for good. NU scored eight of the final 11 points to take the set 25-19 and win the match 3-0
