Volleyball Picked To Finish Fifth In GLIAC North Division

GLIAC COACHES' POLL RELEASE

BAY CITY, MICH. - The Northwood University volleyball team was picked to finish fifth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll in the North Division, the league announced Thursday (August 3).

Northwood finished with 40 points in the poll. Ferris State was the favorite in the North Division with 121 points, followed by Saginaw Valley (82). Ashland was picked to win the South Division with 98 points, followed by Grand Valley State at 97 points.

NU's total was good for ninth overall in the conference.

The Timberwolves will open their 2017 season at the Malone Invitational September 1. Northwood will play Mercyhurst at 12:30 p.m. and West Alabama at 8 p.m.
