INSIDE THE MATCH

  • The opening set was tied 14-14 when the Huskies took control. MTU claimed 11 of the final 14 points of the set to win 25-17. Michigan Tech hit .270 in the set (16-6-37) while holding Northwood to a .088 clip (9-6-34).
  • The Huskies wasted no time in the second set, jumping out to a 12-0 lead to start play. Northwood got no closer than eight points the rest of the way as the Huskies won 25-16.
