Northwood Women's Cross Country All-decade team (2010-19)

The 2010s featured some of the best cross country runners in program history. And as the decade ends, the team is trending in the right direction. The group features a mix of runners from throughout the 10-year stretch

(NOTE - this team is in alphabetical order)

Kelsey Burgess (2011, 2013)

  • Has the fifth-fastest time in the 5,000 in women's cross country history (19:01)
  • Stands sixth on the 6,000 meter list in program history (22:47)
  • Had top 50 finishes at both the 2011 GLIAC Championships and the Midwest Regional Championship

Jenny Frantz (2012-15)

  • Is the second fastest performer in the 5,000 meters in women's cross country history (18:08), one second off the fastest time in school history
  • Stands fifth on the 6,000 meter run list (22:15)
  • Was Northwood's top finisher at the 2015 GLIAC Championships (37th) and the 2015 NCAA Regional Championship (74th)

Jennifer McKenna (2013-16)

  • Was Northwood's top finisher at two different GLIAC Championships (2014, 2016)
  • Also was the top Timberwolf at the 2014 & 2016 NCAA Regional Championships
  • Stands 10th in school history in the 5,000 meters and seventh in the 6,000 meters

Danielle Miller (2010-13)

  • Stands second in school history in the 5,000 meters (18:19) and second in the 6,000 meters (22:04)
  • Was Northwood's top finisher at the 2012 & 2013 GLIAC and NCAA Regional events
  • Had NU"s highest finish at the GLIAC Championship this decade, placing seventh in 2013
  • Qualified for the US Olympic Trials in the marathon after her career at Northwood

Lainey Veekant (2019)

  • Stands fourth on the 5,000 meter all-time list (18:41)
  • Is ninth on the 6,000 meter list (22:58)
  • Had Northwood's best finish at the GLIAC Championships in four years in 2019 (31st)
