Northwood University Athletic Events This Weekend

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University basketball teams will host Lake Superior State for the final game of the regular season on Thursday (February 26). The women are scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. and the men follow at 8 p.m.

Thursday will also be Senior Day with six women and two men being recognized prior to the start of each game.

The women’s basketball team has already solidified a spot in the GLIAC Tournament for the second consecutive year. The men will need to 'win and we're in' for a post-season bid. The 2015 GLIAC Tournament will take place next Wednesday at varying locations.

Indoor Track & Field GLIAC Championships will take place on the campus of Saginaw Valley State this weekend, starting on Saturday (February 28) and finishing on Sunday. 

Men's and Women's Tennis are also hosting the Univeristy of Indianapolis Greyhounds on Sunday (March 1). Both teams are slated to begin at 9 a.m. at the Midland Community Tennis Center.

Monday, February 23:

CLICK HERE for the Northwood Basketball Weekly at Diamond Jim's at 6:00pm on Monday's. It also airs LIVE on ESPN 100.9FM.

Thursday, February 26:

* Senior Day - six women and two men will be recognized prior to the start of their respective game

* First 50 students in student section will get a FREE shirt!

* Pie in the Face - Halftime of the men's game (bring cash to pie that special someone while raising money for Make-A-Wish) 


* Adult tickets for Northwood Games are $7 and are general admission

* Students (K-12) and Seniors are $4 general admission

* All NU students get a FREE ticket with a Northwood Student ID!


Friday, February 27

  • Baseball travels to Maryville, Mo. (2:00pm)

Saturday, February 28

  • Baseball travels to Maryville, Mo. (1:00pm & 4:00pm)

Saturday, February 28- Sunday, March 1:

  • Indoor Track and Field Teams travel to SVSU for the GLIAC Championships - MEET INFORMATION 

* Field Events on SATURDAY start at 10:00am

* Running Events on SATURDAY start at 2:50pm

* Field Events on SUNDAY start at 10:30am

* Running Events on SUNDAY start at 12:15pm

* Adult tickets for the GLIAC Championships are $7 and are general admission

* There is a Two-Day Pass available for $10

* Seniors are $5 general admission

Sunday, March 1:

  • Men's Tennis host Indianapolis (9:00am) at the Midland Tennis Center

  • Women's Tennis host Indianapolis (9:00am) at the Midland Tennis Center
