Basketball - Junior

Nurenberg led the way for Northwood once again, as the junior center registered her third straight double-double to open the season. She finished with team-highs in points (15) and rebounds (14) in NU's 69-60 win over Indianapolis. For the season, Nurenberg is averaging 18.0 points and 12.7 rebounds per game.

Johannes Sterobo

Soccer - Senior

Sterobo is the first student-athlete in Northwood history to earn Academic All-America of the year. He is also the first Timberwolf to earn First Team Academic All-America honors since Marek Kolar from the men's tennis team in 2000.

A four-year starter for Northwood, Sterobo is the greatest goalkeeper in the history of NU soccer. He holds eight school records at Northwood: wins in a season (17), wins in a career (45), goals against in a season (0.56) goals against in a career (0.96), save percentage in a season (.855), save percentage in a career (.765), shutouts in a season (12) and shutouts in a career (29).  Sterobo was named the GLIAC Goalkeeper of the Year and First Team All-GLIAC after leading the conference in goals against and wins.  His 29 career shutouts rank him second among active goalkeepers in Division II.

Sterobo has a 3.99 G.P.A. and is an international business major. He is now a two-time 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America after earning third team honors in 2014.

Northwood recently completed the greatest season in program history, finishing with a 17-2-1 overall record while reaching the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament. The Timberwolves claimed the GLIAC Championship and the GLIAC Tournament title.
