Bio

Scott Fisher is in his 27th year at Northwood. In January of 2025, he accepted a new position within at Northwood, taking over as the Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities and Events.

Prior to his new appointment, Fisher had spent 15 years as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Northwood.

Fisher has designed and supervised the conditioning programs for all 18 varsity programs at Northwood. He has instructed student-athletes on proper lifting technique, speed development, plyometrics, strength training and injury rehabilitation.

From 2002-08, Fisher also served as the associate director of recreational services at the Hach Student Life Center at Northwood.   He instructed weight training and conditioning classes as well as supervised a staff of 60 student employees.

Fisher has also served as a Health Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer at the Dow Chemical Health Promotion.  From 1997-98, he was a Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer at the Midland Community Center.

He is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Fisher has also completed the Sport Performance Coach Certification program by the United States Weight Lifting Federation.

A 1998 graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, Fisher spent time as an adjunct faculty member at SVSU from 2002-03. 

Fisher also earned his master’s degree from Central Michigan University in Exercise Science in December of 2006.

Fisher and his wife Kelly live in Bay City with their two children – son Camden and daughter Lola.
