The Northwood University baseball team dropped an 18-2 non-conference contest at Davenport Wednesday night (April 24).
The game was the final non-GLIAC game of the season for the Timberwolves. Northwood is 15-19 overall on the season. Davenport improves to 30-12 with the win.
The Panthers took control of the game in the second inning, scoring eight runs. Drury would go on to plate four in the fourth, two in the sixth and four more in the seventh.
Northwood's lone runs of the game came in the seventh on RBI's by Andrew Fleming (Olivet, Mich./Kellogg CC) and Jake Oard (Beaverton, Mich.)
The Timberwolves will travel to Ohio Dominican for a key GLIAC series this Saturday and Sunday (April 27-28). The two teams are currently separated by one game in the conference standings.
