RECAP: Northwood storms back to win 14-6 over Davenport Saturday afternoon (April 20), giving the Timberwolves three of four games in the series.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Davenport was the better team early, scoring one in the second and two in the third to take a 3-0 lead into the fourth inning.
  • Northwood got on the board in the top of the fourth on an RBI single by Jacob Rybicki to make it 3-1.
  • After the Panthers made it 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth, the Timberwolves posted a big fifth inning. NU got started on an RBI fielder's choice by Kyle Ziegler to make it 4-2.
  • Travis Janes tied the game with a two-run single to center field.
  • The Timberwolves took the lead on an error by the first baseman that scored Rybicki.
  • Khale Showers made it a 6-4 Northwood lead with an RBI single to right that plated Janes.

  • Cole Brooks extended the lead to 12-6 with a sac fly later in the inning.
  • Northwood capped the scoring with a two-run single by Trevor Polewka to center that made the score 14-6.
  • Lennon Gwizdala picked up a five-inning save by not allowing an earned run while striking out two.
