- The game was scoreless into the fourth inning when Northwood got on the board thanks to a double steal. Travis Janes took second base, while Kyle Ziegler came home on the throw to make the score 1-0.
- Madonna plated one in the fourth and one in the fifth to go up 2-1.
- Northwood's best offensive inning of the game came in the sixth, which started with a run scoring on a wild pitch.
