Baseball Earns Convincing 14-2 Win Over Thomas More

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood started the game fast, getting on the board first on a wild pitch in the top of the first that brought home Logan Voth.
- Matt Magno made it 2-0 with an RBI single later in the first.
- The Saints responded in the top of the third with a pair of runs to tie the score.
- NU's offense then got rolling in the bottom of the third, starting with an RBI single for Brendan Hammer.
- Drew Charters followed with a bases-loaded walk to make the score 4-2.
- Voth capped the three-run third with a sacrifice fly to give the Timberwolves a 5-2 advantage.
- Northwood added three more runs in the fourth that got started with a Magno RBI single.
- Hammer made the score 8-2 on a two run double to cap the bottom of the fourth.
- The Timberwolves came through with another big inning in the sixth, which got started with an Alex Jarboe sacrifice fly.
- Hammer drove home his fourth run of the day on a bases loaded walk to make the score 10-2.
- Charters then earned his fourth RBI of the day with a bases-clearing double to bring home three.
- Ben Clark capped the scoring on the day with a sac fly that gave the Timberwolves a 14-2 lead.
- The game was scheduled for nine innings, but with Northwood leading by 12 after seven innings, the run-rule was enforced to give the Timberwolves the victory.
