Football Earns Comeback 24-20 Win Over Thomas More

RECAP: Trailing 20-0 at halftime, the Northwood University football team rallies back for a 24-20 win over Thomas More Saturday (November 4).
INSIDE THE GAME
- The opening half was controlled by Thomas More, starting with touchdowns on their second and third possessions of the game to go up 13-0.
- Northwood had numerous chances to get on the board in the first half, getting into Saints territory five times. But NU was stopped on a pair of fourth and one attempts and had another pass intercepted deep in Thomas More territory, keeping Northwood scoreless.
- The Saints finished the half with a touchdown in the final seconds, making the score 20-0 at the break.
- Northwood started their comeback on the opening possession of the second half – NU drove 50-yards and capped the drive with a Max Gonos 42-yard field goal to make the score 20-3.
- The Timberwolves got their first touchdown of the day late in the third. Jacob Barlage found Case Boos for a three-yard TD. That capped a 93-yard, 14-play drive to make the score 20-10.
- On their next drive, the Timberwolves got within three points. Barlage finished a 71-yard drive with one-yard run to make the score 20-17 with 10:54 remaining.
- Northwood took their first lead of the day with 4:38 remaining. Barlage found Boos for his second TD of the day from 11-yards out, putting the Timberwolves on top 24-20.
- Thomas More had three chances after falling behind, but a punt and two interceptions gave Northwood the win.
