Deonte Higgins Named d2football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week

MIDLAND, MICH. – Junior Deonte Higgins from the Northwood University football team has been named the d2football.com national Special Teams Player of the Week.

He is the first Northwood football player to be named a d2footballc.om Player of the Week.

Higgins returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in Northwood's 31-24 win over Walsh. Both of his returns covered 95 yards. He finished the game averaging 66.0 yards per return.

Northwood finished the season with a 31-24 win over Walsh, giving the Timberwolves a three-game winning streak to end the year.
