Jacob Barlage Named G-MAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

G-MAC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MIDLAND, MICH. – Senior quarterback Jacob Barlage from the Northwood University football team has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Offensive Athlete of the Week.

This marks the second time in his career that Barlage has earned the honor – he took home the award September 25, 2023.

Barlage led Northwood to a 28-14 road win at Gannon to open the 2024 season, completing 17 of 23 attempts for 289 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His two touchdowns covered 70 and 30 yards. His 208.2 passer efficiency in week one was the best in the G-MAC.

Northwood will host Saginaw Valley in the Axe Bowl Saturday (September 14) at 1 p.m.
