Football Earns Convincing 37-10 Win Over Ohio Dominican

INSIDE THE GAME
- The key players of the game made the first big play of the contest less than five minutes in. Quarterback Ethan Hamby, making his first career start, found wide receiver Brendan Teal on a 36-yard touchdown pass off a flea-flicker to put the Timberwolves on top 7-0 at the 10:33 mark of the first.
- Ohio Dominican got on the board at around the midway point of the second on a field goal, making the score 7-3 with 7:59 remaining in the half.
- Hamby found Teal for another big play on the following drive. Their second touchdown connection on the day covered 56-yards and made the score 14-3 at the 6:14 mark of the second.
- Max Gonos extended the Northwood lead with less than a minute remaining in the second. His 21-yard field goal with 58 seconds remaining pushed the advantage to 17-3.
- The Northwood defense made a big play on the following drive that allowed the Timberwolves to add to their lead before halftime. Lorenzo Alfred intercepted a pass and returned it 34-yards to the ODU 46. Four plays later, Hamby and Teal connected on another spectacular play. Their third touchdown connection on the day went for 40-yards and was capped by a one-handed grab in the endzone by Teal. That touchdown sent the game to the break with the Timberwolves on top 24-3.
- Northwood took advantage of a short field for another touchdown early in the third quarter. Devin Brown found the endzone on a four-yard run to push lead to 31-3.
- Ohio Dominican scored their first touchdown of the day early in the fourth quarter that made the score 31-3.
- NU rounded out the scoring in the final quarter with a pair of Gonos field goals. He made from 47 and 42 yards out to make the final 37-10.
