Bio

The Northwood University football program announced the hiring of Zac Hueter as offensive line coach in the summer of 2018.

"I'm excited to have Zac Hueter as our offensive line coach at Northwood," said head coach Leonard Haynes. "He has the experience I'm looking for to continue building our offensive line unit. He is a proven recruiter and tireless worker. It's great to have him a part of the family."

Hueter comes to Northwood after spending the last two years as the offensive line coach/run game coordinator at Davenport. In their first season at the D-II level, the Panthers rushed for nearly 1,300 yards.

Before his time at Davenport, Hueter was a graduate assistant coach at West Virginia for the 2015 campaign. The Mountaineers went 8-5 and won the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl.

Hueter spent the majority of his career at his alma mater, Michigan State University. He was a player with the Spartans from 2008-10 when injuries ended his career. Hueter then was a student assistant for the 2011-12 seasons before serving as a graduate assistant in 2013-14. The Spartans won the Big Ten title as well as the Rose Bowl over Stanford in 2013 before defeating Baylor in the Cotton Bowl in 2014.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Michigan State in 2012 and his master's degree in kinesiology from MSU in 2014.

A First Team All-State honoree at North Branch High School in 2007, Hueter is a native of Columbiaville, Michigan. His is married to his wife, Chelsea.
