Bio

      Greg Quick is in his second season at Northwood, joining the staff as the offensive coordinator in the spring of 2012.  He brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to Northwood, having spent time coaching at multiple levels and positions.

      Prior to his arrival at Northwood, Quick was the linebackers coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He mentored Kevin Eiben to East All-Star honors for the Argonauts in the 2010 season.

      Quick brings a wealth of experience from a diverse coaching career that dates back to 1979, when he was named the defensive coordinator at Emporia State.  He was then the offensive coordinator at Heidelberg College as well as the linebackers coach at New Mexico State.  Quick’s first head coaching experience at the collegiate level came at the University of Chicago in 1989, where he stayed until the 1994 season.  From 1994-99, Quick was the head coach at St. Norbert College.  After a stint as the offensive coordinator at the University of San Diego, he was the head coach at Concord University from 2003-08.  During his time as a collegiate coach, Quick has led 13 student-athletes to All-American honors.

      A graduate of Baldwin Wallace, Quick played for legendary coach Lee Tressel at the center position.  He was a part of the 1970 NCAA Division III National Championship team.  Quick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health Education before getting a Master’s of Science in Athletic Administration from Emporia State.

      Quick and his wife Jeannie have been married for over 30 years.  They have six children: Philip, Nathan, Bonnie, Benjamin, Brittany and Corey.
