With the win, NU swept the season series over the Lakers.  Northwood will now win the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Lakers if the two teams end up even at the end of the season.

Northwood took the lead at 10-8 early and remained on top for the rest of the game.  The Timberwolves led by as many 11 in the opening half before LSSU rallied back late.  The score was 33-30 when senior point guard Cameron Joyce (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent St. Mary's) connected on a shot from near half court to give the Timberwolves a six-point lead at the break.  Northwood's shooting was the key to their lead- NU went 12-24 overall (50.0 percent) and 8-15 from 3-point range (53.3 percent).

The Timberwolves came out hot in the second half, extending their lead to 50-33 less than six minutes into the second half.  A late LSSU rally got them within 84-78 with 12 seconds remaining, but Northwood held on for the win.

For the game, Northwood shot 52.1 percent from the floor (25-48) and 50.0 percent from 3-point range (15-30).  The 15 3-pointers for the Timberwolves represent a season-high for the team.  LSSU finished at 39.7 percent overall (25-63) and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Wes Wilcox (Roselle, Ill./Harper CC) finished the game with a team-high 25 points.  He went 6-10 from the floor, 4-6 from 3-point range and 9-10 from the foul line.  Joyce finished with 15 points and six assists, while Darvin Ham (Saginaw, Mich./Bridgeport) added 14 points and six rebounds.
