Jack Ammerman & Maurion Scott Earn Postseason Honors From GLIAC

MIDLAND, MICH. – A pair of student-athletes from the Northwood University men's basketball team earn postseason recognition from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Saturday (March 6).

Sophomore guard Jack Ammerman was named Second Team All-GLIAC, while sophomore guard Maurion Scott was named to the All-Defensive team.

Ammerman led Northwood and ranked eighth in the GLIAC in scoring at 16.5 points per game. He also ranked fifth in the league in 3-point percentage (44.2 percent) and seventh in 3-point field goals made (38). Ammerman scored in double figures in each of the team's final 17 games of the season. This is the first time in his career that Ammerman has earned All-GLIAC honors.

Scott used his length on the perimeter to become a premier defender. He finished the year with 30 steals, which was good for fifth in the conference. Scott was consistently assigned to opponents top offensive performer throughout the season. This is the first time in Scott's career he has earned All-Defensive team honors.

Northwood finished the season with a 6-12 record.
