Men's Basketball Announces 2022-23 Roster

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's basketball team has announced its roster for the 2022-23 season.

The Timberwolves will have a new look for the upcoming campaign, with 13 of the 14 players being in their first season at Northwood. Junior De'Airrus Ware is the lone returner to the team.

"I am very excited about this group," said head coach Lonnie Griffin, who is in his third season leading the program. "We have a great mix of transfers and freshmen that I fee fit our core values and what we about as a program. They are a great group of kids from very good families that love the game of basketball.  I am really looking forward to working with them.

"I really was looking for characteristics that fit the STAUP (Sacrifice, Toughness, Accountability, Unity, Passion) mentality. Yes I wanted talented kid, but more than anything I wanted kids who fit our core values and had something to prove.  I feel we hit a home run with this," said Griffin.

Northwood will open the 2022-23 season with an exhibition game against Central Michigan November 3. The regular season will start November 11 at Drury.
