RECAP: Northwood men's basketball earns a 70-64 win over Ohio Dominican Saturday (December 7).

GAME STORY

After both teams started slow offensively, it was the Timberwolves who made the first push of the game. A 9-0 run put Northwood on top 15-7 at the 11:09 mark.
Both offenses got hot at that point. After 22 points were scored in nine minutes, the two teams put up 17 in less 1:36. The Panthers scored 12 of the 17 to get within one at 20-19.
Northwood made the final run to close out the opening half. Trailing 27-25, NU scored 12 of the final 14 points to take a 37-29 lead to the break.
The Timberwolves led 41-31 with 16:12 remaining when Ohio Dominican fought back. A 15-5 run for ODU leveled the score at 46-46.
That proved to be the final tie score of the game, however. Northwood scored on the next possession to go up two and remained in the lead the rest of the way.
The Panthers cut the lead to one or two points six times in the final 9:11 of the game but were unable to get any closer.
With NU leading 57-56 with under six minutes remaining, the Timberwolves scored six straight points to get their lead up to 63-57 with under three minutes to go.
