Evan Johnson, Kosuke Tojo Named All-Great Midwest

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's golf program placed a pair of student-athletes on the All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference teams.

Junior Evan Johnson and Kosuke Tojo were honored by the conference. Both players were recognized by placing in the top eight in the G-MAC Championship.

Johnson turned in a historic junior season, breaking his own school record for scoring average in a season at 72.7. He finished the year strong by placing in the top 10 in each of his final five events of the season. Johnson earned an individual spot in the upcoming NCAA Regional Championship tournament. At the G-MAC Championships, Johnson shot rounds of 67-72-77 to tie for sixth out of 65 players.

Tojo also finished his sophomore season strong, finishing with a -2 total at the Music City Invitational before carding scores of 70-70-76 at the G-MAC Championship to also tie for sixth. His 75.0 scoring average this season ranks seventh in program history.
