Men's Lacrosse Falls In Close One To Thomas More, 12-11

RECAP: Northwood men's lacrosse was back in Midland for the first time since 2000 Saturday (March 1). The Timberwolves took on Thomas More, but would fall in a tight match late, 12-11.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Drew Lockwood put Northwood on the board first at the 11:00 mark of the first quarter, 1-0 NU.
- The Saints settled and tied the game up 1-1 at 9:08.
- Northwood's offense found its groove later in the first, scoring twice from Andrew Rogers and one more from Lockwood. The Timberwolves took the 4-1 lead into the second quarter.
- A man up opportunity in the second allowed the Saints to cut the lead to two, and they did at 13:11 of the second quarter.
- Rogers found his hat trick a few moments later, scoring off an assist from Ryder Mulvey just outside the crease, 5-2 NU.
- Thomas More would go on a 2-1 scoring advantage before halftime as the Timberwolves continued to hold on to the lead, 6-4 NU.
- The third quarter saw 11 goals scored. Northwood and Thomas More traded goals for the first ten minutes. The score was 9-7 at the 5:37 mark before Mulvey and William Forrester extended the Northwood lead to 11-7, the Timberwolves' largest of the game.
- Thomas Moe went on a 3-0 scoring run to end the third, making it a one goal game going to the fourth, 11-10.
- Northwood's offense sputtered into the fourth, being shut out as the Saints scored two critical goals once at the 10:18 mark and the game-winning goal at the 2:34 mark.
- Over the final minutes, Northwood's comeback fell short, falling 12-11.
