Men's Soccer Falls 1-0 At Tiffin

The Northwood University men's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 contest at Tiffin Sunday afternoon (October 6).

Northwood is now 4-4 overall, 4-3 in the GLIAC.  Tiffin improves to 7-1-1 overall, 5-1-1 in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves were the much better team in the first half, but the game went to the break tied 0-0.  Northwood finished with a 9-0 advantage in shots and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes.

The second half was evenly played, but the Dragons netted the lone goal to earn the win. Both teams had nine shots on goal in the final 45 minutes.  Tiffin scored in the 77th minute to earn the win. The Timberwolves had six shots in the final 13 minutes in an attempt to tie the game, but were unable to net the equalizer.

The final stats for the match were heavily in favor of Northwood. The Timberwolves finished with an 18-9 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.

Northwood will travel to Walsh Friday (October 11). Game time is set for 4 p.m.
