Northwood wasted no time getting on the board after a cross from August Hunter ricocheted off of an Ashland defender and into the goal. The Ashland own goal gave Northwood a 1-0 lead 5:37 into the match.
The Timberwolves struck again soon after. Jack Doyle netted his third of the season, with assists by Nino Evola and August Hunter at 15:29 to double the Northwood lead. The Northwood defense held strong as the Timberwolves carried their 2-0 lead into the break.
