RECAP: The Northwood men's soccer team visited the Ohio Dominican Panthers on Thursday (October 12). ODU's early lead proved to be too much for the Timberwolves to overcome as they fell, 3-0.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- The Panthers jumped out in front with a goal headed in the box from five yards out. ODU's free-kick from the right side just outside the 18-yard box set up the opportunity in the 20'.
- Northwood saw numerous chances in the first half, eight shots on target doubled the amount of Panther shots the entire first half. The Timberwolves also had the edge 5-2 in corner opportunities.
- Out of the halftime break, the Panthers made the most of their shots, a low right laser from the left side pushed their lead to 2-0 in the 50'.
- ODU's offense continued to attack the NU defense. Their lead would expand to three in the 62' as the Panther attack capitalized on a small breakaway towards the right post.
