RECAP: Northwood picked up their first win of 2019 with a 4-2 victory over Illinois Springfield Saturday afternoon (February 9).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- All three doubles matches finished with a final score of 6-3. Illinois Springfield won at the top flight, but it was Northwood who won at both the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to give NU a 1-0 lead.
- Singles saw Northwood take three of the five matches finished, thanks to wins at the No. 2, 4 and 6 positions.
- Two of the five singles matches went the full three sets.
- Once Northwood got the needed fourth point, the match at No. 5 singles was ended prior to its conclusion.
