Tennis Teams Earn National Rankings From The ITA

ITA MEN'S RANKINGS

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University tennis teams have earned national rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

The women's team is currently ranked No. 33 nationally, while the men's team stands at No. 43. In addition, NU's number one player in singles on the men's side, Max Wild, ranks No. 61 in singles.

Despite playing one player short the entire season, the women's team stands at 8-1 overall. They are coming off their best victory of the year, a 4-3 win over No. 16 Ferris State.

On the men's side, the Timberwolves are 5-5. They are also coming off a big 4-3 win over Ferris State, which was ranked No. 25 nationally at the time.

Playing from the top slot in singles, Wild has gone 7-3 this spring. He has played a total of five nationally ranked singles players, earning a pair of victories.

Both Northwood tennis teams travel to Missouri-St. Louis March 12. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
