Four Timberwolves Selected To Compete At 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University track and field teams have qualified four student-athletes to the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be Friday and Saturday (March 9-10), hosted by Pittsburg State University at the state-of-the-art Robert Plaster Center.

The Timberwolves will be represented by three men: Senior Paul Evans will compete in the weight throw, junior Rami Gharsalli will compete in the 60 meter hurdles and freshman Mason Phillips will compete in the long jump. On the women's side, senior Carly D'Almeida will compete in the weight throw.

Performances for the Timberwolves are provided below. More information on the NCAA Championships will be available next week at gonorthwood.com.

 

TIMBERWOLVES HEADED TO KANSAS:

Senior Carly D'Almeida – Women's Weight Throw (18.45 meters/60 feet-6.5 inches)

Senior Paul Evans – Men's Weight Throw (19.83 meters/65 feet-0.75 inches)

Junior Rami Gharsalli – Men's 60 Meter Hurdles (7.93 seconds)

Freshman Mason Phillips – Men's Long Jump – (7.53 meters/24 feet-8.5 inches)
