Mason Phillips Earns Second GLIAC Men's Track Athlete Of The Week Honor

MIDLAND, MICH. – Sophomore Mason Phillips was named this week's GLIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. This is the second weekly GLIAC honor of the season and the second of his career.

At the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open this past Friday (January 11), Phillips won the men's 400 meter dash in 47.84 seconds. His NCAA provisional time ranks him seventh in NCAA Division II and second in the GLIAC. A personal best mark, Phillips also ranks second all-time in Northwood history.

Phillips is also nationally ranked in two other events. He is the current leader at 200 meters and is tied for second in the 60 meter dash.

Northwood's men's and women's indoor track and field teams will continue their season at the Hillsdale Conference Crossover Friday (January 18).
