Men's Track & Field Ranked #19 In Latest USTFCCCA Poll

USTFCCCA Rankings - Week 1

MIDLAND, MICH – The Northwood men's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 19 in the first week of the regular-season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings released Tuesday (January 22).

The men have 38.98 computed points in the poll -  the highest national ranking for the men in the regular season. Previously, the men were ranked No. 16 in the preseason poll for the first preseason ranking.

The Timberwolves have six NCAA provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Pittsburg, KS March 8-9, 2019. Mason Phillips is currently ranked in the top seven for three individual events – he owns the top time in Division II at 200 meters, ranked second in the 60 meter dash, and seventh at 400 meters. Other men that own provisional marks are Brian Patrick in the 5000 meters (No. 16), Rami Gharsalli in the 60 meter hurdles (No. 19) and Andrew Davis in the 200 meters (No. 20).

The Northwood men's and women's indoor track and field teams will compete at the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational Friday-Saturday (January 25-26).
