Men's Track & Field Ranked #23 In USTFCCCA National Poll

MIDLAND, MICH – The third week of regular-season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national ranking were released Tuesday (February 5) afternoon and have the Northwood men's track and field team ranked at No. 23 in the nation.

 

The Timberwolves have 40.74 computer points in this week's poll. The men's team have been nationally ranked in every set of rankings this season.

 

Mason Phillips continues to lead the team with 32.77 combined computer points between four events. He is ranked second in Division II at 60 meters (3.67 computer points), first at 200 meters (22.02), No. 12 in the 400 meters (2.59) and No. 11 in the long jump (4.49). Rami Gharsalli adds 6.96 computer points from his No. 9 ranking in the 60 meter hurdles.

 

Other men that own provisional marks are Brian Patrick in the 5000 meters (No. 17) and Andrew Davis in the 200 meters (No. 33).

 

The indoor track and field teams will travel to Hillsdale College for the Wide Track Classic Friday-Saturday (February 1-2).
