Men's Track & Field Ranked #18 In USTFCCCA Poll Heading Into National Championships

MIDLAND, MICH – The latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings were released Monday (March 4) afternoon. The Northwood men's track and field team is ranked No. 18 heading into the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The Timberwolves have 46.16 computer points in this week's poll. The men's team has been nationally ranked in the Top 25 in every poll released this year.

The Timberwolves have two athletes ranked within the Top 5 of their respective events at the national championships. Mason Phillips is ranked third in the 60 meter dash (18.47 computer points) and fifth in the 200 meter dash (13.55). Rami Gharsalli is the fifth seed in the 60 meter hurdles (14.14).

Pittsburg State University will play host to the NCAA Championships Friday-Saturday (March 8-9) at the Robert Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.
